Intellectual and educational development of a nation is possible only when its
education system is strong, organized and developed. If society is
educated, it will be a responsible citizen. The sovereignty, unity and
integrity of the country will remain intact. Without education, man is
like an animal. All-round development of the country depends on education. As
the education will be, so will be the society and the country. A
philosopher has rightly said that if you want to assess the intellectual
development of a nation, meet the teachers there, the educational, social and
cultural development of that country will be known. According to the survey,
Finland ranks first in the world in terms of the quality of education. Singapore
is second and Switzerland third. India is at the 11th position. Finland's
education system has been ranked as one of the most advanced in the world by
the World Economic Forum. To make every citizen have equal opportunities
to get education. The main point of the education policy here is to
educate every citizen on the basis of quality education, efficiency and
internationalization. Finland adheres to the principles of lifelong
learning and free education. Compared to other countries, the process of
appointing teachers here is complicated. Teachers are appointed only after
being fully trained after higher education. Children in Finland begin
their educational journey at the age of seven. From time to time the
Ministry of Education takes corrective measures at the ground level. In
2018, the literacy rate here was 99.0 percent. Students spend only 20
hours a week in school. Students here can speak two or three languages. Here
teachers are given the same status as doctors and lawyers. All facilities
are provided to the teachers. The salary of teachers here is 29000/dollar
(22. 71 lakh rupees) per annum. Here 10 percentile graduates can
apply to become teachers only. Right from the start, students are drawn to
the school from banking, industrial work to art and literature. Pre-primary,
basic, higher secondary, higher education, adult education is better than other
countries.
The role of government and society has become unbalanced in India over the years. Dropouts in government schools have definitely come down over the years. Weak, neglected and needy children have benefited from schemes like khichdi, clothing, cycle, scholarship etc. Here as an experiment, the education department has also held a dialogue between parents and teachers. But sadly, in this dialogue, most of the parents talked only about the benefits of the schemes. They asked very few questions about their children's reading and academic progress. In such a case, the school will be considered as a need of the society only when the children of the intellectual class and able people of the society enter the government schools. In spite of facing low salaries and lack of proper facilities, the number of children is sufficient in the private schools. Children must be enrolled in the glittering buildings of government schools, they send their children to private schools. Send for The salary of private school teachers is very less compared to government teachers. Despite this, the future of children studying in government schools is shrouded in darkness. Coaching culture is growing rapidly here from primary education to higher education. Parents trust the coaching center more than the school. However, children are sent to coaching institutes only to clear the exam. In most of the coaching, the same teacher teaches all the subjects. This is the reason that most of the students are not aware of the correct knowledge of the subject, basic knowledge, practical knowledge and moral knowledge. In a seminar organized by a teacher named Mantun Kumar, while giving a statement on the plight of the education system, he said that teachers are not able to morally guide the youth in the village or city. A lot from private schools to get youth guidance and latest career information are left behind. As a result they are getting involved in criminal activities. Hearing this statement, the teachers of government secondary and higher secondary schools there became angry.
While the bitter truth is that less moral and practical education is being given in these schools like two decades ago. Some teachers believe that digitization of education has certainly led to academic growth among students, but it is far from universal. Parents, society, environment and education system have a deep influence in the life of students. Amarinder Kumar, General Secretary of STET Teachers Association Muzaffarpur, says that the government also assigns responsibilities to teachers in addition to teaching. Gives Like census, election duty etc. In the era of Corona, when the children of private schools were learning through online medium, the government teachers were busy in maintaining the quarantine center. In such a situation it is difficult to make Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan successful. Rambhu Kumar, a teacher from Dharfri village under Paro block of the same district, says it is futile to expect quality education from children in schools facing shortage of teachers. Since 2011, the rehabilitation of teachers in 2022 was only 42% due to court and ministry stumbling blocks. In 2019, the STET exam was conducted for the rehabilitation of teachers in secondary and higher secondary schools. The pass candidates continued to eat police sticks from the Patna Dak Bangla intersection to the House, but the government remained silent on the issue of their rehabilitation. There is a shortage of teachers in secondary and higher secondary schools. Art teachers are teaching science and science teachers are teaching arts. In such a situation, neither the government nor the higher authorities are concerned about the future of the youth. There has been an awareness among parents regarding children's education. Children are also getting admission in large numbers. Children are also passing with good marks. went. Some parents like Sanjay Kumar, Manoj Kumar,
Vinod Jaiswal, Pankaj Singh etc believe that it is not only the fault of the
teachers and the government but also the shortcomings of the respectable people
of the society. Earlier, the educated people of the society used to
inspect primary, middle and secondary schools once a week. When there was
a prayer meeting, some educated person of the village would speak or be invited
as a guest. Because of which, the yearning for education was awakened in
the children and their behavior also improved by listening to the words of the
dignitaries of the village. Now the children of the so-called
intellectuals study in private schools, so what is their relationship with the
government schools? However, to make India's education system strong and
excellent, first of all, the government, society, intellectuals, social workers
and officers should send their children to government schools. Must be admitted
to schools. Model schools should be of function and not just in name. Government,
teachers and society at mental level Initiatives must be taken for quality
education. Teachers should be provided with respectable citizen status and
respectable salary. Apart from the attitude of movement and revolution, we
have to understand the importance of education, teacher and education. Instead
of providing paper, education should be awakened at the ground level. The
concept of all-round development can be realized only by infusing the old with
new concepts and techniques. It is possible to become Vishwa Guru (world
leader) only by imparting better education.
